Lighting of the Olympic Flame for the 2024 Gangwon Youth Olympic Winter Games

Tuesday 3 October at 12:00 στο Panathenaic Stadium, there will be the Lighting and Handing Over Ceremony of the Olympic Flame for IV Winter Youth Olympic Games "Gangwon 2024" to be held in Gangwon, South Korea from 19 January to 1^η February 2024.

The Flame will be lit in the traditional way by High Priestess Xanthi Georgiou from the rays of the sun and after the end of the symbolic Torch Relay inside the Stadium, the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and member of the IOC, Spyros Capralos, will deliver it to the Organizing Committee "Gangwon 2024".

The impressive and highly symbolic ceremony will be covered live by the Olympic Channel, while official and distinguished guests will attend the emblematic Stadium to watch it up close.

The artistic direction of the ceremony is choreographer Artemis Ignatiou, composed by Dimitris Papadimitriou. The costumes of the Priestesses were created by the famous designer Eleni Kyriacou.

Admission to the public is free.
