World champion: Paralympic swimming champion Antonis Tsapatakis1

In an amazing race with a big upset, Antonis Tsapatakis defended the title he won last year and will climb back to the first step of the podium, since he was the big winner in the 100m breaststroke SB4. Until the first 50m of the race, the Ukrainian Andriy Drapkin was leading, who had a pass in 43.65 with the Cretan champion following in 44.95. In the second 50m, however, Tsapatakis was impressive and increased his speed, as a result of which he passed in front and maintained his lead until the finish. He touched the finish wall in 1:39.53, Drapkin won the silver medal in 1:40.83 and the bronze went to Nicholas Rivero (Argentina) in 1:46.08. Thanks to Tsapatakis' first place, Greece earned its first qualification in swimming for the Paris Paralympic Games in 2024
