The students of Kopanos High School of Naoussa had the opportunity to get to know some of the Paralympic Sports and participate in experiential simulation activities of them. The School Management decided to participate and implement the educational program approved by the I.E.P., of the National Sports Federation of People with Disabilities, entitled "Paralympic Sports". F.A. teacher and certified disabled coach Alexandros Karaiosif undertook to "initiate" the students of the Gymnasium of Naoussa, but other schools in the region of Central Macedonia will follow.
After the short introduction to the way of organizing and operating adapted sports with photo and video projection, the students had the opportunity, through targeted experiential actions, to put themselves in the position of an athlete with disabilities and to practice adjustments of sports and various other exercises. Among the Paralympic sports practiced by the children were Athletics, Blind Football, Goalball, Boccia and Sitting Volleyball.
