The first Paralympic Festival at Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens

The Hellenic Paralympic Committee organizes with the support of the Region of Attica, the Deputy Ministry of Sports, the Municipality of Athens, the National Sports Federation of People with Disabilities, the Association of Greek Paralympics, O.S.E.K.A., BeActiveHellas with the support of the European Commission, the First Paralympic Festival at Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens in Gazi, the two-day event 30 and 31 May 2022.

The Paralympic Festival includes activities of experiential experience of students and visitors with interactive participation in:

  • Paraolympiaka sports
  • Paralympic sports demonstrations, such as: Wheelchair Basketball, Mutilated Football, Seated Volleyball, Wheelchair Fencing, Botsia, Table Tennis, Golfbol but and wheelchair dancing, in which well-known Greek Paralympic champions will participate
  • Paralympic photo exhibition
  • Activities of a human library with live discussions with well-known athletes with disabilities.

The first Paralympic Festival will be open on Monday 30 May and Tuesday 31 May in the morning hours 9:45 – 12:15 to primary school students and during the afternoon hours 18:00-21:30 to the public.

At the same time, the final conference of the Erasmus+ European Programme will be held with international participation, STEADY (Sport as a Tool of Empowerment for Dispaced (dis)Abled Youth) Monday, 30 May 2022 15:00-18:00 at the Amphitheater "Miltiadis Evert" of Technopolis.
Admission to the Festival and the conference is free.
