The Olympic and Paralympic Week is implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ program "Let's share together the passion of the Games" and is organized by the French Institute of Greece, the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Academy (ETHNOA).
The ERASMUS+ programme supports the mobility of Greek and French teachers and students through the creation of communication bridges between 26 school classes of the two countries, in view of the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The 2nd edition of the Olympic and Paralympic Week brings together young people from Greece and Normandy to share a common passion: sport and its values through discussions with champions. The meetings with top Greek and French athletes will be a source of inspiration and encouragement for everyone.
Students will have the opportunity to get to know special personalities, to share the history and values of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, to be sensitized to disability issues. French, the official language of the Olympic Games, will be at the heart of the educational programmes proposed to French language teachers in Greece.
Last year, 10 000 students took part and contributed with their enthusiasm to the success of the event. This week is a unique opportunity to mobilize a collective dynamic centered on the Francophonie and starring the athletes, teachers and students of the two countries.
At this year's event, we welcome top athletes for a series of online meetings via Zoom:
