Endurance ski champion Maria Danou is a candidate for the Athletes' Committee of the International Olympic Committee in the elections that will take place during the Olympic Winter Games "Beijing 2022".
Maria Danou was proposed by the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the proposal was accepted by the IOC Executive Bureau. Ten women and seven men from 17 National Olympic Committees, six sports from all five continents will compete for the two free positions of the Commission.
