Greek Ensigns Appointed for Tokyo Paralympic Games

The Plenary of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee unanimously decided the flag bearers of the Greek Paralympic Team at the Tokyo Paralympic Games will be Athanasios Konstantinidis and Anna Denta. The flag bearers at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games are two, a woman and a man in the context of Gender Equality.

Athanasios Konstantinidis won a total of two medals at the Rio Paralympic Games in 2016. The Greek athlete of the F32 ball went up to the highest step of the podium, winning the gold medal, while after a great appearance in the throwing of corina also in the category F32 he took a second medal, this time silver.

Anna Denta is a bronze Paralympan. The Greek athlete at the Paralympic Games, held in Rio 2016, took third place and won the bronze medal in the sport of Botsia in the BC3 category pairs.

The two athletes have glorified our country over the years of their sporting career and have brought many successes to Greece. The decision, for the flag bearers of the Greek mission, was taken unanimously taking into account both the successes of the past and the ethos of the two athletes.
