The Olympic Flame, which was lit at the Opening Ceremony on July 23rd, continues to illuminate Tokyo until it is extinguished at the Closing Ceremony next Sunday, August 8. It was moved from the Olympic Stadium to the Ariake area and specifically to the "Yume no Ohashi". "Ariake" is close to tokyo's coastal front, and seven Olympic stadium facilities used in the games are located in the area.
The Olympic flame lights up inside the altar located on the bridge (Olympic Cauldron), and to keep it lit, for the first time in the history of the Games, as a combustible material is used hydrogen friendly to the environment.
