The Embassy of Japan in Greece honored the Greek Olympic family

IOC President and IOC member Spyros Kapralos was honoured by Japan's Ambassador to Greece Yasunori Nakayama with the Japanese Ambassador's Commendation for 2020 for his practical contribution to the preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The Head of the Greek Mission at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic GamesMichalis Physendzidis, President of the Olympic Torch Race Athanasios Vasiliadis, as well as the Prime Minister and the Choreographer of the Ceremonies of the Olympic Flame, Xanthi Georgiou and Artemis Ignatius, were also honoured. He was also President of the International Olympic Academy, Isidoros Kouvelos, for the promotion of Olympic Philosophy and Olympic Ideas.
