Bronze World Medal for The Greek Paralympic Fencing with Wheelchair!

Eleven years after the bronze medal in Paris, Dimitris Kazaglis' team consisting of Panos Triantafyllou, Vasilis Dounis and Gerasimos Pylarinos, found themselves in third place on the winners' podium, in the event hosted in Warsaw.

The Greek team, in the quarter-finals, defeated Poland 45-39, but failed to qualify for the final after losing to the No-1 on the board, the Ukrainian team 45-33. In the race for the bronze medal, the Greek swords broke Italy's resistance 45-42 and took third place, which may not play any part ahead of Tokyo 2020, but will play a decisive role for Paris 2024, when her team saber will be integrated into the Paralympic Games schedule.
