The world leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) met in Carbis Bay, Cornwall, United Kingdom, from 11 to 13 June and expressed their support for the safe conduct of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
In the communique released after the Carbis Bay Summit at the weekend, G7 leaders said: "In Cornwall we renewed our cooperation with the G7. Our Joint Agenda for Global Action is a statement of our shared vision and ambition as we continue to work together this year and under future presidencies. As we do this, we look forward to working with others to ensure our better rebuilt, especially at the G20, COP26 and CBD15 Summit and the United Nations General Assembly, and reiterate our support for the organisation of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in a safe manner as a symbol of global unity in tackling COVID-19. “
