Bronze European Medal for Paralympia of the Stratos Nikolaidis

The third medal for Greek athletics at the European championships hosted for the 2nd day in Bidgoz, Poland, came by hand Stratou Nikolaidis.

The Greek champion, who was fourth at both the London and Rio Paralympic Games, took third place in the impressive final of the F20 class ball. Nikolaidis, although he scored a race record in the 2nd attempt (16.60m), then saw Ukrainians Yaovi and Koval take first and second place with 16.77m. and 16.62m. respectively. On the 6th and final attempt, Nikolaidis' ball landed just below 17 meters, but unfortunately it was invalid, resulting in the 3rd place and the bronze medal. In the same final, Dimitris Senikidis was 4th with 15.68m, while Leontios Stefanidis was in 5th place with 15.50m, a performance that is an individual record.
