World record for Malakopoulos in Paralympic athletics!

In an impressive setting, set up in innsbruck's main square to hold the length and short events as part of the 16th International Golden Roof Challenge, Stelios Malakopoulos did not miss an opportunity to improve his own world record and is now a breath away from seven metres.

The Greek champion, in the very first attempt at the length of category T62, broke the world record, with a jump of 6 meters 93 cm (+1.04). The previous record held himself since July in Berlin with 6 meters 87 cm.
