Donation of wheelchairs by the Municipality of Thessaloniki

Four wheelchairs in bodies from the health sector were made available today by the Municipality of Thessaloniki, in the presence of Mayor Konstantinos Zervas. The carriages were supplied through the collection of plastic caps as part of the "Keep on Moving" action. The Mayor of Thessaloniki described this action as exceptional, underlining that so far more than 22 tonnes of lids have been collected, corresponding to a large number of wheelchairs. It is indicative that about 1,200 kg of plastic caps are required for the supply of a wheelchair.

Wheelchairs were made available to four institutions from the health sector, namely the Health Center of Euosmos, the hospital "Agios Pavlos", the Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation Center of Children with Disabilities in the KEP "Agios Dimitrios" as well as the Regional Medical Center of Nea Triglia.
