The International Olympic Academy at the Youth Olympic Games Lausanne 2020

The Interactive Programme of the International Olympic Academy ‘Discovering the Olympic Values’ has travelled for the sixth time in the Youth Olympic Games, within the context of the educational and cultural activities implemented in the Youth Olympic Games, whose philosophy is the education of Olympic Values as the main pillar.

1.872 young athletes from 79 countries are ready to compete in the 3rd Winter Youth Olympic Games. The Lausanne 2020 plan is based on five commitments for the long-term impact of the YOG: to empower youth; develop sport; promote Olympism; foster innovative and sustainable solutions; and create new, lasting partnerships. The IOA booth will operate jointly with the International Olympic Truce Centre in the centre of Lausanne, in the Medals’ Plaza and will be open to athletes, schools and the public from 9 in the morning until 9 in the evening. The educational interactive programme of the IOA has been recently updated and will also be present in the Summer Olympic Games of Tokyo.
