Two years ban for Paralympian for doping case

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has suspended Ukrainian powerlifter Anton Kriukov – a bronze medal winner at the 2017 World Championships – for two years for committing an anti-doping violation.

The two-time Paralympian returned an adverse analytical finding for Methylhexaneamine in a urine sample provided on 2 December 2017 after competing in the 2017 World Para Powerlifting Championships in Mexico City. This substance is included on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) 2017 Prohibited List under the category S6: Stimulants. It is prohibited in-competition.
