German visit to Israel ahead of the 'Munich Olympic Massacre'

The Olympic Committee of Israel hosted Dr. Ludwig Spaenle, former Bavarian Minister for Education and Culture and founder of the Olympic Museum in Munich, which was set up last September in memory of the victims of the 1972 Olympic Games.

The museum is a memorial of the Munich Massacre, when the Palestinian terrorist group “Black September” took 11 Israeli Olympic team members hostage and killed them along with a German police officer. President of the Israeli Olympic Committee Igal Carmi and Israeli Olympic Committee Secretary General Gilad Lustig warmly welcomed Dr. Ludwig Spaenle, as well as the German ambassador to Israel Dr. Clemens Von Goetze.
