This is what EOC Acting President Janez Kocijančič, together with the Vice President of Azerbaijani Olympic Committee, Chingiz Huseynzade, announced during the press conference which ended his recent visit to Azerbaijan’s capital city.
The 2019 summer EYOF had been entrusted to Minsk, Belarus, but because the city will now organise the 2019 European Games, a change of host city for the EYOF was made necessary. Kocijančič highlighted how Azerbaijan had hosted the Baku 2015 inaugural European Games so successfully, as well as the European Formula One Grand Prix at a very high level.
