The venues for the 5 new sports of the Olympic Games of Tokyo, approved by thw IOC

The Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, is pleased to learn that the International Olympic Committee Executive Board approved the venues for the five new sports - Baseball / Softball, Karate, Skateboarding, Sport Climbing, Surfing - at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

Baseball and Softball competitions' main venue will be the Yokohama Stadium (Yokohama, Kanagawa prefecture). Karate events will be held in Japan's mecca for martial arts, the Nippon Budokan (Chiyoda city, Tokyo), Skateboarding and Sport Climbing events will take place in Aomi Urban Sports Venue (Koto city, Tokyo). Surfing competitions will be located on the Tsurigasaki Beach, located at the southern end of the Kujukuri (literally “endless”) Beach in Chiba prefecture.
