29 trees planted for Kazakhstan's Olympians and Paralympians!

An alley of 29 trees has been planted at the ‘Park of Lovers’, located in Kazakhstan´s capital city, Astana, in recognition of the country´s 17 Olympic and two Paralympic medalists from the Rio 2016 Games.

September´s Paralympic Games saw Kazakhstan winning their first gold medal ever through swimmer Zulfiya Gabidullina, who won the women´s 100m freestyle S3 with a world record time of 1:30.07. The country´s second Paralympic medal at Rio 2016 was silver, sealed by powerlifter Raushan Koishibayeva in the women´s up to 67kg. At August´s Olympic Games, Kazakhstan claimed three golds, five silvers and nine bronzes.
