The homeland of Milon supports the Olympic candidature of Rome

A great event with more than 3000 students in Crotone presented, to express the support for Rome’s bid to host the Olympic Games of 2024. Calabria believes in the Olympic dream and wants to be there, having a thousand-year sporting tradition. Furthermore, this specific part of Italy has the privilege to include the ancient Kroton, home of the athlete Milone.

The Regional Education Office for Calabria and the Roma 2024 bid Committee signed a partnership for the development of educational cooperation programs, including joint actions in all the Calabrian schools, aiming at enhancing the ethic of respect, promoting sport culture and education, encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyles, engaging teachers on the issues related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games and developing activities to promote the culture of peace.
