Alexandra Stamatopoulou is a Greek swimmer and a person with disability. Member of the National Team and the Greek Athletic Federation, holder of national records in the categories of 50 and 100 meters free and backstroke, Alexandra has proven her worth through the participation in European and World Championships. She has already secured her participation in the 2016 European Swimming Championship held in Spain and in 2016 Rio Summer Paralympics.
However, in this effort to better prepare for the Paralympics, it is necessary to secure financial assistance. Daily training, purchasing the proper equipment and travel costs are unfortunately not covered by the Greek State. In an environment of general economic crisis, such efforts might be considered less important.
We invite all of you, who think we ought to applaud this effort of Alexandra Stamatopoulou, to contribute to our fundraiser. Gathering the necessary funds for the continuation of workouts and the smooth participation in the Games of Alexandra should definitely be met with success. Let us all help Alexandra together!
