Smells like Roman referendum...

After the German referendum for the Hamburg 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, another bidding city is thinking to have the same referendum for the Rome’s candidature. The left Italian Radical Party has made calls for a referendum over Rome’s 2024 Olympic bid, although the Organising Committee mentioned that it would be not required.

The political party has launched the “Referendum Roma 2024” campaign through a new website, which gives information about the Olympic cost over-runs, the unsustainable legacies and the financial failures.
