The second Special Olympics American Football Cup will be in Uruguay in the spring of 2016. Special Olympics athletes and Unified teammates from 11 Latin American countries will take part.
On October 28, Special Olympics Latin America signed an agreement with the government of Uruguay for the football tournament to be held from 30 March to 9 April 2016 in Maldonado, Uruguay. Athletes with and without intellectual disabilities will participate in unified teams.
