The Opening Ceremony of Lillehammer 2016 Youth Olympic Games takes place 12 February in Lysgårdsbakkene Ski Jumping Arena. Both time and arena is exactly the same as the last time the flame was lit in Norway, 22 years ago, for the Winter Olympic Games.
Her Royal Highness Ingrid Alexandra of Norway will be the last person receiving the Olympic flame after its travel from Greece and through all of Norway before the Games. The Princess will then light the same Olympic Torch in Lillehammer as her father, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon, did in 1994.
