Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs and EAOM-People with Disabilities

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between EAOM-People with Disabilities and the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, with the Federation now acquiring an active role in joint events with the competent Directorate of Physical Education of the Ministry of Education, school sports activities and competitions.

The memorandum was signed by the Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs responsible for Primary and Secondary Education and Special Education Zetta Makri and the President of EAOM-People with Disabilities Ioanna Karyofylli, at the offices of the Second Level Directorate of Education in the prefecture of Magnesia. Space, symbolic and of particular importance for the signature.

Among the highlights of the Memorandum are:

– cooperation for the development of joint school sports activities and competitions and the transfer of know-how from EAOM-People with Disabilities to the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs.

-cooperation in the organization of training programs as a priority for Physical Education Teachers.

-The joint organization of educational, scientific and research activities (conferences, workshops, events, etc.) as well as promotional actions, for the benefit of both parties.

-The interconnection with scientific, professional and educational bodies to develop synergies and take initiatives to exploit development opportunities and serve the objectives of the Directorate of Physical Education. This interconnection focuses on the implementation of the educational policy of Physical Education, sports education and activity at all levels of education.
