The 'caustic ' complaint of the Olympic Committee for the Greek State

The Ministry of Culture and Sport and the General Secretariat of Sports of Greece, announced the allocation of funds for the year 2016 to the regulated entities. Unfortunately, for the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the subsidy is reduced by almost 30% as from 1,300.000 euros of 2015 the amount drops to 1,000,000, although 2016 is Olympic year and beyond all others, the HOC must cope with the costly task for the upcoming Olympic Games.

The reduction of the subsidy may be seen as a "reward" for the Hellenic Olympic Committee for its efforts to raise funds from other sources to survive, as the amount of 1,000,000 euros is not enough even for the payroll of the staff.
