The accesibility rules for the Greek University students

Direct intervention to ensure that the circular for the submission of an electronic computerised bulletin for the introduction of candidates suffering from serious diseases in higher education is requested by an urgent letter from the Minister for Disabled Education N. Keramas. At the same time, it calls for the definitive resolution of this issue, so that in the following years, the issuance of the circular should be made in a timely manner, before the beginning of the teaching year, so that all students start their year at the same time and that there are no successful two Gear. As is known, in accordance with the provisions of article 35 of 3794/2009, according to which the procedure for the importation of candidates suffering from serious diseases in higher education to 5% in addition to the positions of inductees is defined, without Examinations, a circular is issued annually by the Ministry of Education on the submission of an electronic computerised bulletin for the introduction of the aforementioned candidates in higher education.

Even today this circular for the year 2019 has not been published, which means delaying the announcement of the results of candidates to be admitted to higher education, resulting in the loss of the successful participants in the first semester Teaching. This contradicts the requirements of the UN International Convention on the Rights of Persons with disabilities, which our country, together with its Optional Protocol, ratified with 4074/12 and therefore has to implement at national level , where article 24 "education" states that Member States must ensure that persons with disabilities can have access to quality and free education, on an equal basis with others, in the communities in which they live and receive the support Required within the education system to facilitate their effective education.
