As a result of the decision to include 5 additional sports at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, an Extraordinary General Assembly of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) held on 9th March validated the inclusion into the “Olympic Federations” category of the related 5 federations.
The five new federations are: The French Federation of Baseball and Softball, the French Karate Federation and associated disciplines, the French Mountain and Climbing Federation, the French Roller Sports Federation and the French Surfing Federation. With these latest additions, CNOSF now associates a total of 107 Federations, 30 of which classified as Olympic.
