' Run with Roma 2024 ' by the Olympic Movement in Italy

The Italian Olympic Committee and the Organizing Committee Roma 2024 presented "RUN WITH ROMA 2024" at the RunFest press conference. The event is set for 10 September and will involve the twelve cities that are part of Rome's Olympic Bid for the 2024 Olympic Games. The race - a 10 km run - will have a single ranking comparing results from each of the cities through a set coefficient: each race will feature 10 categories, based on the ages of the participants.

"On the anniversary of the amazing and historic feat by Abebe Bikila, we're asking all of the cities included in the Roma 2024 Olympic Candidature File to step out onto the streets and run," commented Roma 2024 General Coordinator Diana Bianchedi. The "Run with Roma 2024" initiative, planned by the Bid Committee is a legacy that goes beyond the outcome of the Olympic Bid, it will be an important heritage for sport in the years to come.
