The development of Olympic education in Georgia

The National Olympic Committee of Georgia organised, under the auspices of IOC Olympic Solidarity, an international media seminar in Borjomi, in the mountain range district in Southern Georgia. The seminar was aimed at informing sports media attending Rio Olympic Games on topical issues, such as the organization of the Games, but also on better understanding the history of the Olympic movement, the history of the Olympic Games, the Olympic Charter and media regulations.

The NOC president Leri Khabelov, accompanied by Olympic champion Shota Khabareli, opened the seminar. The workshop was organized within the framework of the chess and backgammon tournament, which included also an Olympic quiz, with Olympic champion Natsvlishvili, with five volumes of "Five spots" awarded to the winners.
