The President of Brazil will not attend the Lighting Ceremony for the Rio Olympics

The President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff canceled her planned trip to Greece in order to attend the Lighting Ceremony of the Olympic Flame IN Ancient Olympia on April 21 for the Rio Olympic Games, announced officially by the Hellenic Olympic Committee. Rousseff scheduled to attend the ceremony together with the President of the Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach.

"The President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff has canceled her trip and will not attend the ceremony as the embassy of Brazil informed the Hellenic Olympic Committee" notes the announcement of the HOC.
