The Olympic Movement celebrates the day of women

The Olympic Committee of Portugal will mark International Women's Day by organizing a conference on the theme "Leadership in Women - Pathways to Success and Development Perspectives" to be held in the Auditorium of the Olympic Committee of Portugal, on 8 March. The programme will also be the opportunity to reward several female sports leaders.

The "Women Leadership - Pathways to Success and Development Perspectives" Conference will have two guest speakers, Angela Melo, Director of the UNESCO Division for Sport, Youth and Ethics, and Katie Simmonds, ICSS Europe Sports Governance and Financial Integrity Officer, and will be moderated by Leila Marques, Chair of the NOC’s Women and Sport Commission.
