With Olympic shine this winter event of Palirroia

With great success-despite the adverse conditions due to the strike roadblocks farmers-was completed few hours ago, with the presence of the Olympian of the Marathon Swimming Spyros Gianniotis, the 13th Winter Swimming race 'Palirroia' at the Paralia of Katerini, Greece. In the race took part 60 athletes from Greece and abroad as well, who swum at the distances of 300 and 1000 meters, in water temperature ranged at 12 degrees of Celsius. The organizer of the event was the Hellenic Marathon Swimming, with the support of the Municipality of Katerini, the Hotel Mediterranean Village Hotel and Spa, the company Msb and the Lifeguard Patrol.

Spyros Gianniotis, although was not swam because of the heavy training planning for the Rio Olympic Games, honored with his presence once again the specific organization and as mentioned to paralympicus.gr, ' Always I support this event, is the fourth time that I am coming to the Palirroia in Katerini. It is very important to watch amateurs athletes of Marathon Swimming to participate in the specific event.’
