The Olympic Flame runs in Norway

The Flame for the second Winter Youth Olympic Games has reached Alta in Northern Norway, from where it starts its one-month journey to the Opening Ceremony on 12 February in Lillehammer. The Olympic Torch - which was lit by the sun’s rays in the Panathenaico Stadium in Athens, Greece - arrived at the Norwegian Parliament in Oslo in December, where celebrations took place.

The Flame will stop in 21 cities and 19 provinces before arriving in Lillehammer to enter the stadium on the night of February 12, to mark the beginning of the second Winter Youth Olympic Games.
