Great honor for the Greek Olympian Voula Kozompoli

Great honor for the Greek Olympian of water polo Stavroula Kozompoli, as awarded by the International Olympic Committee, with the award ‘Women and Sport’ for Europe.

The president of the Greek Olympic Winners Association played water polo for Greece more than 15 years and was part of the silver medal-winning team at the Olympic Games Athens 2004.

She served on several different commissions and associations within sports movement and has made every effort to help and promote female athletes and support women in administration and leadership positions. Furthermore, has taken action in organizing and participating in conferences and workshops on gender equality, and delivering speeches in schools, ensuring that women and girls can train in safe environment.

Her efforts been recently recognized by the Greek Parliament, the Greek Church, the Red Cross and by many women’s clubs throughout the country.
